Boroondara General Cemetery, also known as Kew Cemetery and Boroondara Cemetery, is a burial ground located in the suburb of Kew. It remains the only cemetery within the City of Boroondara. History. Land was reserved for a cemetery in 1855. The facilities were constructed in 1858 with Ellen Quick being the first person to be buried in its grounds.
